Daniel Keith Bordelon, 57, passed away in the comfort of his own home on February 20, 2017.
Mr. Bordelon lived a very full life with many activities to keep his attention. Daniel worked as a salesman for Budweiser and spent many years as a pipefitter. In his free time he really enjoyed volunteering with Banners, watching McNeese athletics, and playing bingo with his mother. He liked to grill and BBQ for friends and family. He spent a lot of time boating, hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers. He also enjoyed his cars, campers, and was a collector of many things. Daniel was a supporter of the Louisiana Sheriffs Honorary Membership Program.
He is survived by two daughters, Kristina Buckles and husband Austin, and Kayla Bordelon and fiance’ Trey; wife, Barbara Bordelon; mother, Theodora Louise Bordelon; brother, Donald Bordelon; sister, Brenda Mueller and husband Don; two step-daughters, Krista O’Kelly and husband Scott, and Kari Goodeau; step-son, Korey Fontenot; grandson, Gabriel Buckles; granddaughter, Elyn Buckles; two step-granddaughters, Kamryn Carrier, and Morgan Warner; two step-grandsons, Dylan Fontenot and Matthew O’Kelly; and many nieces and nephews.
Daniel is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Mitchell Bordelon; and two brothers, Glenn Bordelon and Kenneth Bordelon.
A graveside inurnment service will be held at Prien Memorial Cemetery at 1:15PM on Thursday, February 23, 2017. Deacon Glenn Viau will officiate. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home from 11AM to 1PM on Thursday, February 23rd. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for outstanding expenses.
