Lake Charles – Danis Guidry was born March 10, 1923 in Lafayette to the late Treville and Celestine Guidry. He passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in his residence surrounded by his family.
He served in the U. S. Army for 4 years as a Technician Fourth Grade. He received the Brown Star Award & the Pacific Medal of Honor. Danis worked as a Superintendent for Bartley for 46 years. He enjoyed cooking & being with family.
He is survived by his lovely wife of 71 years, Eunice T. Guidry; children, Judy Dies, Tammy Babineaux (Glenn); 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Rogers J. Guidry.
Funeral services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 3 p.m. with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Visitation begins Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 2:45 p.m. Cremation is under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
