Friendship, TN-Danny R. Tingler, born May 6, 1950 in DeQuincy, son of the late Henry Curtis Tingler and Edith Ellis Garza, passed away in his residence, October 2, 2019, at the age of 69.
Danny attended school in DeQuincy and Johnson Bayou. He retired after 38 years from Omega Protein. After Hurricane Ike, he and his wife, Darlene, moved to Tennessee.
Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley, but most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Danny is survived by his wife, Darlene LeJeune Tingler; daughters, Jennifer Tingler Bourgeois (Boggie) of Iowa; Rita Tingler Ware (Charles) of Vinton; Stella Tingler of Orange, Texas; Sarah Tingler Thacker (Jason) of Sulphur; brothers, Steven Tingler (Maritza) of Bridge City, Texas; David Tingler (Tammy) of Dyersburg, TN; grandchildren, Corey Joseph Bourgeois; Blake Arron Theriot; Caleb Hunter Bourgeois; Alex Kade Theriot; Kerstin Alexa Thacker; Ashlyn Rae Thacker; Myka Bay Thacker; Corbin Danger Thacker; Harmony Nevaeh Ware; step-mother, Deanna Tingler. He is preceded in death by his mother, Edith Ellis Garza and her husband, Alex Garza; father, Henry Curtis Tingler; siblings, Henry Edward Tingler and Carol Romero.
Funeral services are Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume Thursday from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. Pallbearers assisting in his service are Caleb Bourgeois; John Bourgeois; Jason Thacker; John Furlough; Joshua Tingler; Charles Ware; Travis Tingler; David Tingler.
