Darrell Blaine Derouen

Darrell Blaine Derouen, 61, of Holmwood, Louisiana passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 15, 2026. He was born on December 26, 1964 to Darrell and Sue Louviere Derouen.

Blaine was raised in Bell City, Louisiana, where he graduated from Bell City High School. Shortly after graduation, Blaine went to work for the City of Lake Charles. Then he moved on to where he worked at Black Tie Cleaners. After leaving Black Tie Cleaners, he worked as a Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor for the last six years.

Outside of work, he enjoyed helping people with any project. He also enjoyed playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Those left to cherish his memory are, his sister, Stacey Derouen Reber; his nephews, Dustin Reber (Christy), Ryan Reber (Laura), and Tyler Reber (Tiffani); his great nieces and nephews, Shai, Layne, Olivia, Jax, Stacie, and Navy; also, his dear aunt, LaDonna Atwell (Mike); his cousins, Beverly Guilbeaux (Lannie), and Brittney Duhon (Brandon), Gavin, Addie, Livy, and Andrew; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; his dear friends, Tim and Floyd; and all of his card playing friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell, and Sue Derouen; his maternal grandparents, Will, and Beulah Louviere; and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Gertrude Derouen.

Blaine’s funeral will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake Street, with Rev. Nathan Long presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service, with a rosary being recited at 1:30 PM. Blaine will be laid to rest in Derouen Cemetery with his parents.
