Lake Charles ~ Darrell Glenn “Duck” Watkins, June 10, 1957, son of the late Orin Roussell and Elgine Abshire Garner, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at the age of 60.
Darrell was a graduate of Sulphur High School and was a member of the full gospel church in Roanoke. He enjoyed working in his yard, hunting, camping, cooking and spraying water hose.
Survivors are his wife of 25 years, Danna Watkins; sons, Chuck Simon and wife Jamie, Collins Simon; daughter, Alisa Simon and fiancé Will Jones; brothers, Kevin Watkins Roussell, Jeffery Roussell; sisters, Lisa Roussell, Tina Broussard, Gabby Degeyter, Anita McNaulty, Judy Abshire; brother in Christ, Norman Fontenot; grandchildren, Molly, Avery, Alexis, Carolyn, Brennan, Braden; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Orin Roussell and Elgine Abshire Garner; brother, Gerald Watkins Roussell.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Johnson and Brown Funeral Home ~ Iowa with Mary and Norman Fontenot officiating. Visitation will begin Friday from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home and will resume Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11.
Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home – Iowa.
