Darrell Joseph Guidry

Darrell “Joe”Joseph Guidry, 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 4, 1951, in Jennings, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Della Ruth Landry and McKinley Guidry.

Joe proudly served in the United States Army. He was a hardworking man who could fix just about anything a true jack of all trades. He loved spending time in his large vegetable garden and took great pride in keeping his yard in excellent shape. He earned his doctorate in theology and had a strong faith throughout his life.

Joe took pride in everything he did. He retired from Baker Hughes after a remarkable 40-year career. Above all, he cherished his role as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His love for his family was unwavering.

Left to honor his memory are his devoted wife of 54 years, Judy Marie Boudreaux Guidry; his children, Dawn Rachel Guidry-Conner and Todd Paul Guidry; his beloved grandson, Tyler Gaige Conner; his twin brother, Harrell “Billy” Joseph Guidry and wife Sandra; his older brother, McKinley "Butch" Guidry and wife Nancy; and his sister, Charlene LaCombe and husband Preston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ludren Guidry.

A private inurnment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
