David "Hightower" Alan Bailey

Lake Charles – David “Hightower” Alan Bailey, born July 26, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of the late James Robert Bailey and Beatrice Marie Derks, passed away August 3, 2018 in a local hospital, at the age of 58.
David was a graduate of Iraan High School and attended Odessa Jr. College. He was employed as a truck driver. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and being with his family.
He is survived by his sons, John “Cotton” Bailey (Twyla) of Lake Charles and Joshua Bailey (Amber) of Lake Charles; daughter, Myndi Gentry of Hillsboro, Texas; brothers, Kevin Bailey (Elena) of Austin, Texas and Garry Bailey of Whitney, Texas; 10 grandchildren. David is preceded in death by his parents and mother of his children, Cyndi Bailey.
Visitation begins Monday, August 6, 2018 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 2:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. A Celebration of Life will begin at 5 p.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Rick Batchelor will officiate. Cremation is under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
