David Keith Bellard

David Keith Bellard, born in Lafayette on June 29, 1951, son of the late Walter and Leeventa (Guidry) Bellard, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, in a local hospital, at age 73.
David was a longtime member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. He was a professional brick layer and retired for the casino. His kind and caring spirit will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ebony Bellard, and son, Clayton J. Simien.
Survivors are his loving and devoted wife, Josephine Simien Bellard; children, Jennifer S. Guillory, Felicia Simien, Iris Shepard and husband, Frederiek, and Darrell A. Simien and wife, Ulysis; siblings, Barbara Frank (Lionel), Terry Bellard, Dwight Bellard and wife, Jeanette, Floyd Bellard, and Daniel Bellard; and numerous grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church in Iowa. Rev. Anthony Fontenot, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Friday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa at 9 a.m. A Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
