David Glen Foster, 56, of Lake Charles died suddenly on Mach 15, 2017 at his residence.
David was born in Lake Charles and spent most of his life here. As a child, he participated in live theater productions and his favorite was “Mame”. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 196 in Orange, Texas. Before starting his own business, David helped build power plants all over the south, but some projects close to home were Player’s Casino, Casa Mana’s kitchen, and the Bay City, Texas nuclear power plant. He was the owner and operator of Westside Welding for twenty years. In his free time, David could always be found hunting or fishing at his camp south of Lake Charles. He also loved to cook all those he caught and share them with his friends and family.
He is survived by his parents, Henry (H.G.) and Fern Armentor Foster; sisters, Sheryl F. Wilkerson (Scott); Linda F. King (Carl) and Denise Foster; stepchildren, Michael Torres and Krystal Roberts; five grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday March 17, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home and continue from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday March 18, 2017. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
