David Carl Guidry

Iowa ~ David Carl Guidry, known to many as “Ace” born at Fort Rucker, AL on March 29, 1989, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the age of thirty-five.

A graduate of Iowa High School class of 2007, David played football for Iowa High from 2004 – 2006. He was employed for Dubois Sheet metal for many years and was of the Catholic faith. David enjoyed fishing, target practice with his dad and brothers, tinkering on vehicles, and he loved and cherished every second he could spend with his daughters.

Survivors are his parents, Scott and Sue Guidry; daughters, Amberly and Brynlee Rose Guidry; brothers, Brandan Guidry, Matthew Guidry (Caroline); niece, Maria Guidry; nephew, Peter Guidry.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Mary Anne Guidry; maternal grandparents, Ferdinand and Rose Cary.

Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown funeral home of Iowa on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 10 a.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Friday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
