Lake Charles-David C. LaRocca, 71, passed away in a local hospital Sunday, January 5, 2014.
Born in Lake Charles on November 28, 1942, he was the son of the late Carlo and Nora (Duhon) LaRocca. David worked in the oilfield. On September 7, 1976 he married Darlene Stracener. David enjoyed many things, particularly working on motorcycles with his sons and grandsons.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene LaRocca; children, Bubba LaRocca, Joseph LaRocca and wife, Julie, Angel LaRocca and Katrina LaRocca and partner, Kaddie, all of LeBleu Settlement; siblings, Joseph Lee LaRocca and wife, Becky of Lacassine, Tommy LaRocca of Lake Charles, Roseanne Breaux and husband, Chris of Holmwood , Mary Segura and husband, Johnny of Lake Charles and sister in law, Mary LaRocca. David is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kyle, Whitney, Candace, Daniel, Tylor, Brendon, Tristan, Tanner, Ashlyn, Alexis, Savian, Abigail, Hunter, Briley, Hayden and Cason; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Danny LaRocca and brother, A. J. LaRocca.
Visitation will begin in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 10 a.m. and will continue until the Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Cremation is entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
