David “Roy” Guidry, 72, passed away on April 14, 2016 in a local care center. Roy was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur. He loved wood working, making pens and was a classic car enthusiast.
Roy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Glenda Guidry; his daughter, Anita Rogers and husband Ted; and his son, David Guidry all of Sulphur; 2 grandchildren, Kristy Ramirez and husband Byron, and Casey Rogers and wife Haley; 4 great grandchildren, Christian, Makaela, Aiden, and Cayson; his brother, Robert Guidry and wife Judy; his sister, Carol Ann Comeaux and husband “B B” Joseph; his mother, Lois Trahan; 2 half-sisters, Genevieve Turman and Denise Trahan and a half-brother, Russell Trahan. He was preceded in death by his father, Caroll Guidry and his daughter, Darla Guidry.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 10 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery North under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 5-9 P.M. with a rosary at 6:30 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 8 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home until time of the service.Visits: 7
