David Wayne Tarasiewicz entered into the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
He was born on September 15, 1963, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to John “Yash” and Anita Tarasiewicz. David was a proud graduate of LaGrange High School (Class of 1981), Sowela Technical Community College (1984), and McNeese State University (1987). He dedicated his career to the engineering field, working with several firms throughout the years, most recently with Polaris EPC, where he served for the last 17 years.
David found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—traveling, spending time with his family and grandchildren, relaxing outdoors, tinkering in his shop, and enjoyed playing dominoes. He was known for his crazy jokes, deep love for his family, fun loving, talk of the party, and paid close attention to detail.
Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife of 35 years, Pam Walker Tarasiewicz; his children, Chad Courville of Lake Charles, Tara (Dooley) Prince of Sulphur, and Carla (Jared) Gremillion of Tennessee; and his cherished grandchildren, Tyler (Savanna), Amelia, Joe, Jacilynn, Jordan, Jada, Wes, Jaxon, Jace, Grayson, and Kennedy. Great grandchild Oliver.
He is also survived by his sister, Ellice (Warren) Allen of Lake Charles; sister-in-law, Melissa Tarasiewicz; mother-in-law, Wanda Walker of Kinder; aunt, Glenda Hagan of Dry Creek; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
David was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anita Tarasiewicz; his father-in-law, Joseph Walker; his brother, Joey Tarasiewicz; his brother-in-law, Joey Walker; his nephew, Brett Allen; his maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edmuth Paul Sigler; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Teofil Tarasiewicz.
The family would like to thank Stonebridge and Southern Home Health for the care they provided to David.
