Davis Sensat

Davis Roy Sensat, 77, passed away on September 29, 2025, in Jennings, LA. Davis graduated from Sowela and became a senior designer at Recon Engineering. He enjoyed woodworking, being with his family and working with veterans. Davis was involved with DAV (Disabled American Veteran). He served as commander of DAV Lake Charles Louis L. Lust Chapter 17 for several years and served as state commander of Louisiana DAV for several years.

Davis is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carolyn Peloquin Barousse Sensat. He was the beloved father to Stephanie (Barousse-Sensat) Jones (Nick Jones) and Tracie Sensat; adored Pop to Brock Jones, Cassidy Jones (partner, Brodde Corely) and Olivia “Mal” Sensat, all of Sulphur; and sister, Elaine Sensat Rigby and husband, Charles of Bridge City, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Sensat; mother, Carrie Boullion Sensat; and sister, Carolyn Sensat Fruge.

The family wishes to thank the Jennings VA and Jennings American Legion Hospital for the wonderful and loving care they gave our Dad and us. Also, thank you to the Louisiana State DAV.
