Dawn LaBelle Theriot, 83, of Moss Bluff entered in eternal rest Thursday, October 8, 2020 from the comfort of her daughter’s home.
Mrs. Theriot was a native of Vancouver, Canada. She followed her husband’s military career starting in California and retiring in Pearl City, Hawaii. She then returned to her husband’s home in Louisiana where they made Moss Bluff their home. She attended an all-girls Catholic School and had a brilliant academic mind. Having always loved politics, Mrs. Theriot worked as the campaign manager for several local officials during the late 70’s through the early 80’s. To date she watched news programs 24/7 and was passionate about the political arena. She enjoyed spending her down time crocheting.
She leaves to honor her memory, one daughter, Pamela Grove Manuel of Broussard, LA; two sons, David Eugene Grove and wife Shelly of Moss Bluff and Kelly Steven Theriot of Virginia; seven grandchildren, Austin Grove, Noel Grove, Anna Grace Grove, Marina Darbonne and husband John, Hunter Grove and wife Shanna, Hollis Manuel and Tyler Manuel; seven great grandchildren and her friends, Adam, Rena and Jenny.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Eugene Saunders and Gertrude Saunders; husband, Warren David Theriot; companion and dear friend, Ron Bricking and daughter-in-law, Tammy Duhon Grove.
Graveside services will be at 12:00 PM Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff. Father Jeffrey Starkovich will officiate. Interment will follow. Visitation Thursday will from 10:00 AM until leaving for the cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
