Dawn Marie Rubatt, 50, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, October 01, 2020 following a courageous battle.
Dawn was a native of Illinois and lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was a graduate of Barbe High School. She worked most of her life as bartender throughout the Lake area, primarily at Fred’s Lounge, most recently at Wild Bill’s and formerly owned the Neighborhood bar. Dawn was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking and loved to ride. She also enjoyed traveling to Galveston, the Renaissance Festival and Sturgis Rallies. She will be remembered for her bright friendly spirit and her laugh.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Sean Patrick Lyon of Lake Charles and Anthony Joseph Doiron and wife Karah of Longville; two brothers, George Russell Rubatt, Jr. of Springfield, MO and Michael Anthony Rubatt of Winnebago, MI; two sisters, Patricia Kathleen Rubatt of Lake Charles and Debra Ann Rubatt of Rockaway Beach, MO and companion and friend, Alvin Ray Lyon of Lake Charles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Anthony Rubatt, Sr. and Carolyn Gentry Rubatt.
Dawn’s family will gather privately for a memorial tribute in celebration of her life. Plans for a Poker Run for Dawn’s last ride are in progress for October 17, 2020. The ride will begin at 10:00 AM at the Bad Apple Saloon and will end at 3:00 PM at Fred's Lounge where the Brandi Alyse Band will be playing. The gathering will be respectful of Louisiana’s current COVID guidelines.
