Debbie Ann Theriot

Mrs. Debbie Ann Theriot 78, of Lake Charles, LA passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Theriot was born on February 16, 1940 in Little Chenier, LA to Traville and Advilla LaBove Broussard.

Debbie grew up in Cameron Parish and will be remembered as a caring person who never met a stranger and who was always there with a helping hand whenever anyone was in need.

Mrs. Theriot went to work at the Cameron Parish Clerk of Court Office in 1975, becoming the Clerk of Court in 1988, before retiring in 1996. She loved her work, her friends and her neighbors in Cameron Parish.

Mrs. Theriot is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Cheryle Theriot and a grandson Owen Theriot.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Jerry Theriot; her daughter Lana (Marty) Wood and her son Winn Theriot. She also leaves three grandchildren: J.R. (Kassie) Boudreaux, Jake (Molly) Boudreaux and Reed Theriot, along with three great-grandchildren, Will Boudreaux, Meg Boudreaux and Mason Thomas Boudreaux. She also leaves her ex-son in law, Jerry Boudreaux.

The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 4-8PM, with a Rosary being recited at 6PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, June 28, 2018 beginning at 8:30AM and will continue until time to leave for the church. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10AM at Christ the King Catholic Church, officiated by the Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Marsh Cemetery in Creole, LA.
