Debbie Nevils Weeks, 78, passed away in the comfort of her home Friday, October 31, 2025.

Ms. Weeks was born April 12, 1947 in Lake Charles to the late Ed and Lois Holland Nevils. She was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles.

Debbie was a graduate of LaGrange High School and McNeese State University. She was a successful entrepreneur in the lake area and worked many years in accounting for her mother’s Property Management business as well as investing in properties of her own. The . Debbie’s passion was as a founding partner of and an instructor for Boogie Woogie Ballroom. She enjoyed an award-winning competitive dance career. Her hobbies include traveling and teaching dance to both the young and old.

Debbie leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Tammie Weeks Hardee and husband Rick; grandson, Grayson Gage Hardee and brother, Russell Nevils and wife Kathryn.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be at 6:00 PM Thursday, November 6, 2025 in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with a Rosary service to follow. The family will receive friends in remembrance Thursday from 3:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
