Debbie Roy, born in Lake Charles on August 5, 1957, daughter of Winston Buller, Jr. and Carolyn Talbot Buller, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 67.
Debbie, a graduate of Iowa High School, and humble servant of God. She began her career in a local bank for many years as a bank teller. She worked as a paraprofessional for J I Watson, was a certified fitness instructor, and retired from the US Postal service.
Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, serving at food pantries, being a member of prayer groups, and sharing her blessings.
In 2008 Debbie went on her first mission trip to Kenya, Africa with Life Church. She shared the love of God, fed villagers, and spread God's word and goodness. In 2010, God called her to Africa again. In 2012, Bengaluru, India. She went on several trips to Nicaragua. In 2015 Senapati, India, where her and her loving husband spent 2 months together fulfilling God's calling to share His love and salvation, and in 2016 Rio, Brazil.
In 2021 came her biggest battle yet. Her faith and trust In God embraced her strength to face the unknown. She fought with grace, her faith never wavering.
Her greatest accomplishments were her love for Jesus Christ, her devoted husband of 49 years, her three daughters, and lastly the remarkable role of grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She taught them the love of Jesus and goodness of God from the day each were born. She made sure to set a foundation of the relationship each would have with Him, as they began each of their journeys throughout life. Up until her final days, she was praising His glory, with them by her bedside.
Survivors are her father, Winston Buller, Jr.; daughters, Jessica Huval (Scotty), Jenny Lantz (Shaye) Jill Stollsteimer (Robbie); sister, Becky Becnel (Fred); brothers, Brad Buller (Pam), Stephen Buller (Susan); 9 grandchildren, Haden, Jackson, Andie Huval, Kaileigh, Brilee, Kohen Lantz, Bliss, Ayla, Calli Stollsteimer, and 1 great-grandchild, Jaxton Lantz.
