Deborah Hope Hoffman Pedersen

Deborah Hope Hofmann Pedersen, 61, of Lake Charles, died suddenly on July 29, 2015, at her residence. Deborah was born on November 24, 1953 in Bossier City, LA and a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She was a1971 graduate of Lake Charles High School and a home maker who loved people and cherished her grandchildren dearly. She was a member of Glad Tidings Church in Lake Charles. She was the granddaughter of the founding pastors of Glad Tidings Church, the Revs. Lee J and Mable Edith Duhon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Hofmann and Faith Hofmann McPherson and a grandson, Erik Joseph Pedersen. Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Matt Pedersen and wife Tara Viator Pedersen and their son, Andrew Pedersen, Lake Charles; Ben Pedersen and wife Kelly Brown Pedersen of Westlake, LA and their children, Brady Pedersen and Lexi Peck, Lake Charles; and Sarah Pedersen Menard and husband Keith and their son, Kamren Menard, Gills; Fiancé Terry Mudd, Lake Charles; sister, Catherine Hofmann Wade, Lynchburg, VA; brother, Josef Hofmann, Portland, OR; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM today, Thursday July 30, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home and will continue from 11:00 Am until 1:00 PM at Glad tidings Church Friday, July 31, 2015. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday July 31, 2015 at Glad Tidings Church, 3501 Texas Street, Lake Charles, LA 70607, with the Rev. Ray Hundley officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
