Debra Louise Mott

Debra Louise Touchet Mott, died Tuesday June 17, 2025 at a local hospital surrounded by her family.

Debbie was born on September 8th, 1960 to Ernest and Rena Touchet of Welsh, LA. She was one of 11 children.

She was a resident of Welsh, LA for 23 years then moved to Lake Charles were she resided for 41 years.

She was a proud grandparent to her two beautiful granddaughters, Savannah and Paige.

She shared many years of her life with her Fiancé Eric Jones and his son Logan Jones.

She was known for having the best banana pudding around! Which she always shared with her many nieces and nephews!

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Mott, his two daughters Savannah Mott and Paige Farque all of Lake Charles. Sisters, Judy Avant (John) of Hathaway, Theresa Cormier (Robert) of Hathaway, Belinda Touchet of Lake Charles. Brothers David Touchet of Welsh, Robert (Bobby) Touchet of Crosby, TX, Randy Touchet (Cindy) of Sulphur.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Rena Touchet. Sisters Cindy Touchet McElhaney, Mary Touchet Smith, Angela Marie Touchet and brother Ernest Joseph Touchet Jr. as well as her fiancé Eric Jones.

Visitation will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home(4321 Lake Street, Lake Charles, LA) on Friday, June 20th, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. with a memorial to follow at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at a later date at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Cemetery in Welsh, LA.
