Delbert Oscar "Sonny" Sexton

Delbert O. "Sonny" Sexton, 82, formerly of Lake Charles passed away at 11:16 AM, July 8, 2015 in a Woodville, TX care facility. Mr. Sexton was a native of Mermentau, LA and lived in Lake Charles prior to moving to Woodville, TX. He worked as a Maintenance Technician for Calcasieu Parish for many years. Mr. Sexton was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War. Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Sexton Burns and Antoinette Sexton Bryant and husband Randy; two sons, Allen Paul Sexton and John Eldridge Sexton; eight grandchildren; his brother, Huey F. "Joe" Sexton and wife Barbara. He is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Velma Sexton; a son, Donald Sexton; two sisters, Denezia May Sexton and Sylvia Ann Sexton. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles and private family services will be held at a later date.
