Delores Laura Mercado

Delores Laura Thomas Mercado,70, entered this world June 6, 1945- left us October 23, 2015 at 12:29 A.M.. She was born in Marysville, California to her parents, Clyde and Cora Thomas. Delores was the youngest of eight children, survived by four siblings. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She left behind daughters, Diana Abshire and husband Jacque and Marcie Kruse and husband Phil; and her precious, Yorkie, "Zoey". Delores was a nurse for 40 plus years. Her biggest passion in life was caring for other people. Family was her number one priority, always putting others before herself. She will be deeply loved, missed, and cherished, but always remembered for the special lady she was. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2015, beginning at 1 P.M. at the home of Diana and Jacque Abshire at 416 Bowmer Lane, Sulphur, LA 70663.
