Denise Rene Frantz Murphree

Denise Rene Frantz Murphree, born in Lake Charles on December 7, 1968, daughter of Lowell Kendall Frantz and the late Barbara Geraldine Demeritt Frantz, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023, after a brave battle with cancer.
She worked side by side with her husband in the masonry business, Dixie Masonry. Denise enjoyed taking care of kids, spending time at the camp, where she enjoyed feeding everyone.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Demeritt Frantz; grandparents, Pebbles and Linas Demeritt; godchild, Starla Rae Benoit, and uncle, Leonard Ray Demeritt.
Denise is survived by her husband, William Murphree; father, Lowell Frantz and wife, Ida; children, Cody Fultz and wife, Courtney, Kelley Rene Furby, and Joseph Allen Furby; brother, Micheal Frantz; grandchildren, Gabrielle Furby, Harper Furby, Kenzley Fultz, Heaven Dignam, Jaxyn Daigle, Brent Dignam, Wyatt Dignam, and Nathan Walker.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, Friday, January 13, 2023, at 10 a.m. Shelly Young, officiant. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin in the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and will resume Friday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
