Denise Turton Richard

Denise Turton Richard, 66, passed away on April 11, 2023 in a local hospital.

She was born on November 17, 1956 in Lake Charles, LA to William and Freida Turton. She loved her family and loved life and will be remembered as a free spirit with a big personality. She also loved animals and enjoyed spending time outdoors.

Denise worked as a bus driver for 35 years with the Calcasieu Parish School Board.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 40 years, Edmond Raymond Richard; daughter, Kelly Langley; grandchildren, Tyler Richard, Hayden Richard, Aleigh Langley, Kobi Sonnier, Kennedi Langley, and Owen Widener; great grandchild, Luke Matthew; stepson, Hershal Richard; stepdaughter, Jessica Widener; brother, William Reece Turton; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved dogs, Tee Tee and Sophie.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 7 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
