Dennis Ray Trahan

Dennis Ray Trahan, born in Lake Charles and son of Earl and Mary (Higginbotham) Trahan, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, April 23, 2021, at the age of 62.
Dennis, a graduate of LaGrange High School, was owner/operator of Trahan Trucking. In 1994 he married Martha Prather and they enjoyed 27 years together. Dennis enjoyed building Hotrods, attending car shows and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Trahan; brothers, Earl Trahan, Jr.; Larry Trahan and grandson, Canaan Todd Trahan; beloved pet, Boudreaux.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Martha Trahan; mother, Mary Trahan; sons, Todd Trahan; Jeremy LeBlanc (Michelle); daughters, Bridgette Bertrand (Wendell); Amanda Jeffers (Scott); brothers, Darrell Trahan, and Edward Trahan; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; pets, Axle and Sophia.
A Celebration of Life will begin Monday, April 26, 2021 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin in the funeral home on Sunday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will continue Monday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
