Derek Aguillard

Derek Aguillard, was born on July 26, 1957, son of Oscar Ray “Buster” Aguillard and Ada (Breaux) Aguillard. Derek passed away on March 14, 2021, at the age of 63 at a local hospital.
Derek was a graduate of LaGrange High School, upon graduation joined the Navy and later became a cross country truck driver. Derek was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed collecting coins, reading, debating, and watching foreign films.
Derek is survived by two daughters, Julia Janicki (Jason), Lauren Aguillard; one son, Justin Aguillard (Alicia); four brothers, Oscar “Ray” Aguillard (DeeDee), Kevin Aguillard (Dolores), Toby Aguillard (Rachel), Joe Aguillard (April); two sisters, Aimee Aguillard, Renee Laymoun (Khaled); and two grandchildren, Mia and Jack. He is preceded in death by his father Oscar Ray “Buster” Aguillard.
Visitation will begin in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 4 pm to 6 pm, with a Funeral service at 6 p.m. with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating. Cremation will follow the gathering under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
