Derek Allen Payne, born in Chillicothe, Ohio on September 28, 1986, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024, after a brave battle with cancer, at the age of 38.
Derek was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. He was of the Catholic faith. He loved animals, especially dinosaurs and was a gifted artist. Derek would do anything for you and had the most amazing, generous soul.
He is preceded in death by his father, Mark Payne; infant brother, Jonathan Payne; maternal grandfather, Norman Yeary and his wife, Pamela; aunt, Kelly Chandler.
Survivors are his mother, Denise Cormier and husband, John; siblings, Ryan Payne and Caitlin Payne; maternal grandmother, Joanie Harper and husband, David; aunt, Jennifer Antaki and husband, Vince.
Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
