Iowa– Desireah A. Chapman, 35, passed away in a local hospital on Wednesday, August 5, 2015.
Desireah was born in Lake Charles on March 25, 1980. She loved photography and was taking classes to enhance her skills. Desireah attended Bethany Baptist Church. She loved many & was loved by many.
She is survived by her mother, Cynthia Yvette Miller of Longville; father and his wife, Perry Joseph Chapman (Anne T. Chapman) of Arnaudville, LA; children, Damien and Harley Daigle of Iowa; siblings, Leslie James Chapman and Kasandra Chapman Sonnier (Derek), both of Iowa; niece and nephews, Taylor Chapman, Ethan and Kade Sonnier; grandparents, Ron and Marlene Jeansonne of Woodville, MS and James Lee LeDoux, Jr. of LeBleu Settlement; uncles, Andrew Hillebrandt, Jr. of Sulphur, Ernest Hillebrandt; aunt, Shelly LeDoux of Monroe and the father of her children, Eli Daigle. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Leslie Joseph and Rena Fontenot Chapman; great grandparents, James and Lucille LeDoux, Sr.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery – Lake Charles. Visitation is Sunday in the funeral home from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. and continues Monday from 8 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
