Desiree Marie Henry

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Desiree Marie Henry, who left us on September 4, 2026, at the age of 45. Born on November 13, 1980, in Lafayette, LA, Desiree grew up in a loving family and later settled in Iowa, LA, where she built a beautiful life.

Desiree was a graduate of Iowa High School and went on to work as a dispatcher in the police department, a job she cherished. She was known for her warm and caring spirit, deeply rooted in her Christian faith. Those who knew her can attest to her many passions, she loved sewing, gardening, baking, and shopping, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her four wonderful children: Felicity, Nicholas, Adaline, and Kaimen, as well as the love she shared with her husband, Chad Henry.

She is also survived by her sister Juanita Featherstone and brothers James and Dean Hebert (Tonia), who will carry her memory in their hearts. Desiree will be profoundly missed by her family and friends, who were lucky enough to know her kindness and generosity.

In Desiree's loving memory, let's remember the joy and warmth she brought to our lives. Rest in peace, dear Desiree.

Desiree was preceded in death by her parents, William Leonard and Marie Verdin; her sister, Brenda Hebert, and her brother, Nicholas Hebert.
