It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Devin Dray Tomplait, who left us far too soon on December 17, 2025, at the tender age of four.

Devin was born on October 21, 2021 in Lake Charles, LA to Mother, Cheyenne Guidry and Father, Donavan Tomplait. He spent his short time here on earth bringing joy and laughter to everyone around him.

Devin was an extremely outgoing child. He was always full of joy, and very humble with everything he had been given. You could give him a rock, and he would love you for it. His family knew him as a child who loved his trucks and toys and for his boundless energy. He always loved being in the bathtub just playing in the water; he also loved swimming. Devin just started learning how to skate and he even slept with his skates on to make sure he had them. He had a contagious smile that lit up the room and a spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Devin loved everyone, he didn’t know what a stranger was. He was the happiest, friendly little boy. He was so very full of life.

Devin leaves behind his loving family who will always love him and cherish every moment they had with him, his parents; two brothers, Graesens and Zaylin Tomplait; (Godparents) Shyla and Austin Doyle and Cameron Tomplait; aunts, Natasha Guidry, Tabitha Holiday, Briann Guidry and Taylor Clark; uncles, Charles Doyle, Clifton Guidry and Issac Holiday; grandparents, Christine Guidry, Robert Clark, Carrie Tomplait, Gregory Tomplait and Patricia Broussard and multiple cousins who adored him.

He was preceded in death by his Pawpaw, Dwayne Guidry and uncles, Brandon Clark and Devin Conley.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, December 22, 2025 in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. David Brewer will officiate. Interment services will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Monday will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
