Diana Faye Douget

Diana Faye Douget, 68, of Kinder, LA passed away at 1:44 PM on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in her daughter’s residence in Lake Charles, LA.

Mrs. Douget was born on December 28, 1948 in Ville Platte where she resided until moving to Lake Charles where she attended LaGrange High School. She worked at several Market Basket locations in the area for 35 years. Mrs. Douget moved to Kinder 20 years ago.

Her greatest joy in life was her family and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Robert E. Douget; two daughters, Lisa Shows (Kelby) of Lake Charles and Vanessa Souter (Thomas) of Bossier City; a step daughter, Melissa Hamilton (Mark) of Lake Charles; four brothers, Terry Landreneau, Ricky Landreneau (Lou), Kevin Landreneau (Catherine), and Craig Landreneau all of Lake Charles; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Bertrand; her parents, Marjorie and Ray Landreneau; and a sister-in-law, Wanda Landreneau.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, June 11, 2017 in Johnson Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Cremation will follow the visitation.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ben Thompson, Dr. Micah LeLeau, and to Gabby with Heart of Hospice for their genuine care and compassion given to Mrs. Douget.
