Dillon Lee Roddy, age 30, of Ragley, Louisiana, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
Dillon was born on September 11, 1995, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and was raised in Grand Lake. He was a proud graduate of Grand Lake High School, Class of 2014. From an early age, Dillon developed a strong work ethic, a deep appreciation for the outdoors, and a genuine love for the simple things in life.
Following high school, Dillon began his career with R&R Construction, moved to Garrison, and most recently worked for RECON, where he worked as a pipe designer at the CITGO Refinery. He took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication, skill, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
Dillon recently made his home in Ragley, Louisiana. He had a true passion for the outdoors and could often be found hunting or fishing whenever the opportunity arose. Whether on the water or in the woods, those were the moments he cherished most.
Dillon will be deeply missed by those left to cherish his memory, including his father, Glenn Roddy; his sister, Melissa Roddy; his nephews, Gavin and Gunner Burleigh; a very dear and special longtime friend, Ben Meistrell; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Roddy.
Visitation services will be held on Thursday May 7th beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Charles La. Cremation will follow the visitation.
Dillon’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
