Dolores Hebert Beaudion

September 27, 1935 — February 22, 2017

Dolores Fay Hebert Beaudion, 81, of Lake Charles, LA, went to meet her Savior and the love of her life, Bud, at 9:34 PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Beaudion was born September 27, 1935 in Sulphur, La and lived in Lake Charles, LA for most of her life. She worked for Southern Amusement, where she met her future husband, Bud Beaudion, and retired from BellSouth after thirty-five years of service. She was a past member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters and chosen as a past Regent. She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, where she and her husband served on the tape ministry for over ten years and she was a member of the Widows on the Geaux. Mrs. Beaudion enjoyed playing Dominoes and was a member of the Senior Circle. She enjoyed baking, trying new recipes, working in her yard and dinner dates with her grandsons and close friends, but her true passion in life was for her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy; she was always there to support their school or sporting activities.

Mrs. Beaudion is survived by her daughter, Lori Beth Hughes and husband Chris of Lake Charles, LA; son, Obry G. Beaudion of Baton Rouge, LA; brother, Jack Hebert of Sulphur, LA; sister, Camille Hebert of Sulphur, LA; grandchildren, Jordan Hughes, Jacob Hughes and Dylan Garrett; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her good friends with the Bell Ladies and the Birthday Girls.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Vivian “Bud” Durwood Beaudion; parents, Edward and Irene Landry Hebert; and her cousin, Dorothy Fullen, whom she loved like a sister.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Gary Evers will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a celebration of life service at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Sunday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
