Dolores Stutes Hodges

Dolores Stutes Hodges, 79, passed away on December 1, 2018.

Mrs. Hodges is remembered as the life of the party and loved to entertain. For over 50 years she was a member of the Buccaneers and for over 40 years a member of Krewe de la Famille. She was also the owner of Mam’selle Dress Shop for over 40 years. Her faith in God led her to be a member at Glad Tidings Assembly of God.

She leaves behind to cherish her name her husband of 53 years, J.R. “Sonny” Hodges; two sons, Barry A. Hodges and wife, Nicole Comeaux Hodges, and John A. Hodges and wife, Brittany Doyle Hodges; three grandchildren, Devin, Katelyn, and Preston; 4 great grandchildren; and four siblings, Gene Stutes, , David Stutes, Mona Duhon, and Sylvia Murrell.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Phorbus and Delta Stutes.

A funeral will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday, December 8 at 2PM.  Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Gary Evers will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, December 7 from 5PM to 8PM and will resume on Saturday at 1PM until the start of the service.
