Don Edward Page

Don Edward Page, Sr., passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family. How lucky were those who knew him as "boss/chief", "neighbor", "customer", "fishing comrade", or "golf partner", but how immensely blessed were those who were able to call him "husband", "father", "brother", "Paw Paw", and "friend."

Don was born on March 4, 1942, in Port Arthur, Texas, and spent a fulfilling life in Lake Charles, Louisiana. From an early age, he developed a strong work ethic and business sense, and it is likely one of the things for which he will be most remembered by many. Yet beyond the sharp business mind was a man who was so much more: a cherished member of his community who touched countless lives along the way.

As the owner and operator of Thermal Insulation, Inc., Don dedicated his career to providing quality service in the thermal insulation industry, earning the respect and admiration of his peers and colleagues.

Even while leading such a large company and well after he retired, Don was eager to pass on a lifetime of accumulated knowledge in business, education, construction, as well as of his hobbies of hunting, fishing, and golf to all that he encountered, especially the youth. Don was never one with idle hands or an idle mind. He always had a project either in his head or in the works, and usually several at once. He loved competition and encouraged it often among family and friends. His sense of humor was spared for no one, stranger or friend, and neither were his words of advice.

Don was proudly married to his loving wife, Barbara Page, for an incredible 64 years. Together,they raised a wonderful family, including their sons, Stephen Page (Jennifer) and Don Page, Jr. (Edith), as well as their daughter, Debbie Page (Gerry), 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandsons and one on the way. Also left behind to uphold his memory are his dear sisters, Anne Page, Betty Posey, and Jeannie Reynolds. He is preceded in death by his mother Jennie Louise Palermo, and his father John Ellis Page.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, October 2, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Reverend Joshua Page at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by his burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Arthur, TX. at 2:00 PM.

The family wants to thank St. Joseph Hospice and Villa Maria Retirement Home for the loving care that was shown to Don. The impact this force of a man leaves behind will be felt deeply, and his family and friends will miss him dearly.
