Donal Ray Dies of Shreveport, 66, passed away in his residence surrounded by his family.
Donal was born on March 18, 1948 in Jennings to the late James and Leola Duhon Dies. He served in the U. S. Navy for 8 years and was a wells technologist with Petroleum Coordinators. He attended McNeese State University. Donal enjoyed family gatherings, reading books, fishing, and cooking, spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed pampering his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Guidry Dies; children, Briana Toney (Brian) and Brietta Dies (Mike Wilson); siblings, Eldon “Toby” Comeaux (Sharon) and Shirley McManus (Bill); grandchildren, Keagan Toney, Tristin Dies, Trevor Dies, Kyleigh Toney and Taryn Dies. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation is Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 11 a.m. until the time of a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m.; Rosary 1:30 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue after the rosary until 5 p.m. Cremation will follow the visitation.
