Donald Billiot, 85, of Johnson Bayou, passed away on March 22, 2022, in the comfort of his home. Donald lived life to the fullest. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved doing things outside. He loved to garden and share his crop with everyone and loved to cut his grass. Donald could fix anything. He made his own pirogue and paddled from the Toledo Bend dam to Johnson Bayou with family.
Donald is survived by his spouse of 63 years, Nola Faye Billiot of Johnson Bayou; his son, Rodney Billiot and wife Julie of Johnson Bayou; granddaughter, Jana Billiot and husband Rusty of Thibodaux, LA and his niece whom he was like a paw paw to, Allison Romero; two great grandsons, Julian and Jasper Bouvier of Thibodaux, LA; and his siblings, Annabelle Rennie of Houston, TX, Rosalie Colligan and husband John of Lake Charles, Jimmie Billiot and wife Treva of Johnson Bayou, Daniel Lee Billiot of Indian Village, Violet Ryan of Indian Village and Frances Romero and husband Howard of Johnson Bayou. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Paul Billiot and Helena Trahan Billiot; one son, Todd Billiot; granddaughter, Christy Faye Billiot; and siblings, Lloyd Billiot, Joyce Billiot, Gladys Bullard, Bonnie Caudill and June Billiot.
Services for Donald will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 3 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur with Brother Gandy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 PM until the time of service. Cremation is to follow services under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
