Donald Edwards

Donald E. Edwards, 84, of Lake Charles, passed away Wednesday November 7, 2018 at a local hospital with his family at his side.

Don was a native of Carthage, Mo and longtime resident of Lake Charles. Following high school, Don honorably and dutifully served our country in the United States Army. He was an auto mechanic and retired from Pumpelly Tire and McFillen Rent-A-Car. He was a member of Sale Street Baptist Church.

Preceding Don in death are his parents, Henry and Nellie Duty Edwards; infant son, Terry Wayne Edwards;  brother, Roy Edwards; and sister, Louella Koenig; Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 63 years, Dixie Cowan Edwards, Lake Charles; two sons, Randy Edwards (Lindy), Lake Charles and Greg Edwards (Gina), Hazel Green, AL; four grandchildren, Jake Edwards (Monica), Sarah Hannum (Jonathan), Hannah Berryhill (Brandon) and Charis Edwards; five great grandchildren, Jamie, Emmy and Lila Edwards and Grayson and Peyton Hannum.

Memorial services will be at Sale Street Baptist Church on Saturday November 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Kent Shepherd will officiate. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
