Donald Ray Holland, of Iowa, born June 30, 1938, son of Eunice and Anna Holland, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at the age of 82.
Donald loved fishing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with his family. Donald worked for DOTD and retired after working over 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his siblings: Mildred “Sis” Thibodeaux, Anna Lois Mancil, Margaret Newman, Larry Bob Holland, Roland Holland and James Louis “J.L.” Holland; and a grandson: Joshua Ray Holland.
Donald is survived by his wife: Jeanette Holland; children: Curtis Ray Holland (Carolyn), Elgin Marie Guillory (Brian); siblings: Morris Holland (Shirley), Floyd Holland (Alberta), Mary Lou Debarge (Johnny), Teresa Bowling (LeRoy), and Betty June Marcantel. Grandchildren: Misty Dawn Wells, Paul Dubroc lll, Jeremy “MeMe” Holland, and Torrey LeJeune. Great grandchildren: Justin Elijah Wells, Jewel Electra Wells, Jenny Elexis Wells, Anna Dubroc, Breanna Dubroc, Tiffany Holland, Ariel Holland, Joshua Ray Holland, Jr.; and Aspen LeJeune. His pet cats: Callie, Menew, and Little B.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Pastor Dwayne Daigle, officiant. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
