Donald James Sittig, Sr.

Donald James Sittig, Sr., 70, of Lake Charles died on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in his residence. Mr. Sittig was born on December 28, 1944 in El Campo, TX and lived all of his life in Lake Charles. After 38 years, he retired from Firestone Polymer as a Class A Chemical Operator. Mr. Sittig was a member of Water's Edge Gathering Church. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Donald J. Sittig, Jr. and wife Margaret; a daughter, Jennifer Leah Morris and husband Dr. Jason; a step daughter, Toni Lynn Cassia and husband Chris all of Lake Charles; and a granddaughter. He also leaves behind his best friend, Prissy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mona and Joseph Sittig. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 24, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tony Bourque will officiate. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:00 PM and continue until the start of the service.
