Lake Charles –Donald Ray Sonnier, born September 16, 1963, son of Joseph Sonnier and Shirley (Gradney) Mallett, passed away February 5, 2019, at the age of 55.
Donald was a graduate of LaGrange High School and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Mallett (Edward); daughter, Angelica Sonnier Davis (Kelaun); siblings, Joseph Sonnier (Lillie); Terry Sonnier; Michael LeDee (Lavonda); Billy Sonnier; Joseph Bellard (Becky); John Le Dee Jr.; Monica Pinell (Enoch); Cathy Williams (Joe); Valerie LeDee (Dennis); 4 grandchildren, A’Miya Patterson; John Patterson, Jr.; Karder Davis and Kassian Davis.
He is preceded in death by his father.
A Gathering of friends and family will begin Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa at 10 a.m., with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Pastor Mike Smith will officiate. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
