Donald Veuleman

Donald Edward Veuleman, 80, of Lake Charles, LA went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 19, 2016 in a local hospital.

 

Donald was born on November 23, 1936 in Many, LA, to the late Dewey Edward Veuleman and Violet Parham Veuleman. He moved to Lake Charles in 1955 where he worked for R.E. Heidt and retired as a heavy equipment operator. He belonged to the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 406. Donald was also the proud owner and operator of Don Veuleman Tractor Service. He was a member of Eastwood Pentecostal Church. Donald enjoyed fishing and bird hunting.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Fern Goos Veuleman of Lake Charles, LA; and daughter, Kathy Veuleman Sullivan (Collin “Jody”) of Lake Charles, LA; sister, Marilyn “Noni” Olas of Lake Charles, LA; two brothers, Malcolm Veuleman (Darlene) of Beaumont, TX and Norman Veuleman (Marci) of Alexandria, LA; grandchildren, Donavan “Donnie” Sullivan and Lesley Miller (Kyle) all of Lake Charles; and three great grandchildren, Lillian, Karson, and Kipp Miller.

 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Eastwood Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Aaron Lopez will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Goos Cemetery in Moss Bluff, LA under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume in the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
