Donald Wilson

Donald Lee Wilson, 78, of Lake Charles, LA died on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in a local hospital.

Born January 8, 1933 in Evansville, IN, Mr. Wilson served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, receiving a Purple Heart. He worked most of his career in industrial sales. He enjoyed bowling and loved the New Orleans Saints.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Mary Veillon Wilson of Lake Charles; his three children, Debbie Broussard and husband Lynn, of Lake Charles, Shawn Wilson and wife Christina of Sulphur, LA, and Connie Wilson and partner Shannon Whitney of Mandeville, LA; and three grandchildren, Jason Broussard, Rachelle Wilson, and Maxwell Wilson.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Wilson.

His funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Dan Landry will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
