Lake Charles - Donna Louise Gire, born in Sulphur on December 22, 1953 passed away October 8, 2021, at the age of 67.
Donna graduated from Marion High School and attended McNeese State University. Donna worked at head-start as a teacher over 30 years. Hobbies included going to garage sales, loved to gamble, and was a big Saints fan.
She is preceded in death by her father, Nardy O’Quinn; mother, Alice; stepfather, Mike Finn; the father of her children, John Wayne Benoit; and her husband, Clifton “Bubba” Gire.
Donna is survived by her children: William Benoit, Darrell Benoit (Delaine Theriot), Brandy Guidry (Chris), Jason Benoit (Donna); grandchildren: Devoni, Caitlin, Emily Benoit, David Wayne, Chasity, Dylan, Steven Guidry, Jason Benoit, Jr.; great grandchild: Kason Guidry; siblings: Evelyn O’Quinn, Deborah O’Quinn, Neal O’Quinn, Lonnie “Dale” O’Quinn (Elodie “Dee”), Danny O’Quinn (Tanya); Bryan O’Quinn (Laurie).
Celebration of Life for Donna will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Johnson and Brown Funeral Home in Iowa from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson and Brown Funeral Home in Iowa
