Donna Joyce (Istre) Pickell

Donna Joyce Istre Pickell passed away April 19, 2021 in a local hospital.

Donna was born July 3, 1959 in Lake Charles, LA to Alvin Leon and Helen Marie Henry Istre.  She will be remembered as a generous, caring mother and wife who loved cooking and taking care of her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her husband of 44 years, Eugene “Pat” Patrick Pickell of Sulphur, LA; her children, Brian Pickell (Cochetta) of Henderson, TN, Bruce Pickell of Sulphur, LA, Britney Sawyer (Chris) of South Bend, IN, Patricia Istre of DeRidder, LA, Sara O’Banion (William) of Leesville, LA, Jaqueline Alberado of Lake Charles, and Amber Bordelon (Michael) of Lake Charles, LA; her grandchildren, Austin Keith, Tessa, Avah, Brian, Alexander, Hannah, Stephanie, James, Ethan, Austin Blake, Dallas, Aaron, Andre, Levi, Dillon, Jayden, Laikyn; and 10 fur-grandbabies.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
