Donna Louise Hanks

Donna Hanks, age 65, of Sulphur, LA., passed away on Saturday morning, July 12, 2025, at her residence. In her final days, before making her way to her eternal home, Harbor Hospice provided excellent service for keeping her peaceful and comfortable. She was born August 31, 1959, in Crowley, LA. Although her physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her light will forever shine bright in our hearts.

Donna is survived by her loving husband Kurt Hanks, of Sulphur, sons Joshua Broussard, Terry Broussard, Ryan Hanks, and Derek Hanks, grandson Dillinger Broussard, granddaughter's Vivian Broussard and Savannah Broussard, her sister Leslie Lejeune, brothers Gerard Bonin, Jerod Bonin, Louis Bonin, Randy Bonin, and Joe Forman. She also leaves behind many other friends and family who adored her dearly.

Donna is preceded in death by her loving parents. Her father, Willie Bonin, her mother, Carol Monceaux, and her brother Troy Forman.

Donna found joy in family, raising her baby chickens and collecting eggs, and she was a wonderful cook. Her food touched the stomachs of many. When she wasn't digging in her garden, she was spreading her infectious smile and overwhelming laughter. Her compassion for others allowed her to spread love to everyone she encountered, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path. She will be greatly missed.

The service to honor the life of Donna Hanks will be held on Wednesday, at 10:00 AM at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur with pastor Lewis King officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, LA.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home.
