Donyce Woodward

October 24, 1958 — October 5, 2016

Donyce Woodward, 57, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in her home.  After earning her degree from McNeese State University, she became employed by the Calcasieu Parish School Board as a teacher.  Although a 1976 graduate of Barbe High School, she also attended Clinton High School in Clinton, Mississippi.  Her years in Clinton created a lifetime of memories and friends.  She was an avid New Orleans Saints and LSU fan.  Donyce loved to ride Harley’s and took many cross country road trips sightseeing. Her vivacious personality and smile will be missed.  Donyce was a loving mother and proud grandmother “Nanny”.

She is survived by her daughters, Nadine Callahan Blake and husband, Shannon, Michelle Callahan Scoggins and husband Jeff and Kristen Merchant; her grandchildren, Chaz Schrumpf, Ashton Blake, Brice Schrumpf, Audrey Schrumpf, Leo Cornett, Alexis Cornett, Callum Blake, Henry Scoggins and one on the way in December; one brother, Craig Woodward and two sisters, Debbie Holifield and husband Bill and Sally Rosenbohm and husband Cliff.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Barbara Woodward. 

Services for Donyce will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home at 11 AM with Pastor Bill Holifield officiating.  Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines South.  The family will receive friends on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 5-8 pm and again on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of service.
