Dorcinas Jospeh “D.J.” LeDoux, 90, of Lake Charles died in the comfort of his home on Friday May 6, 2016.
D.J. was a native of Church Point and a longtime resident of Lake Charles. He honorably and faithfully served our country in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired as a millwright from the Olin Corporation after 41 years of loyal service and was a member of Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Emma Babineaux LeDoux; two brothers, Evans LeDoux and Clifton LeDoux; and a son, Alan Keith LeDoux. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Euna Thibodeaux LeDoux, Lake Charles; son, Richard LeDoux, Lake Charles; two daughters, Brenda Miller, Sulphur and Jane Herod (Tommy), Arkansas; sister, Lena Lacy(Lonzo), DeRidder; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday May 8, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Monday May 9, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home with Father Alan Trouille officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Prien Memorial Park.
