Iowa – Doris Gotreaux LaFleur, born November 12, 1932, daughter of the late Julian and Elvina Breaux Gotreaux, passed away on December 26, 2020 in Baytown, TX..
Doris attended Hathaway High School and was long time member of CFMA. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters Association for over 35 years. She taught catechism at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, she was a lay minister of communion and was very active in the Parish Counsel. Doris enjoyed dancing, French music, spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her children, Daniel LaFleur (Liz); Larry LaFleur (Vicky); Tony LaFleur (Donna); Denise Carpenter (John); siblings, C. J. Gotreaux (Dianna); Donald Ray Gotreaux (Mary); Richard Gotreaux; Ruby Ann West (Darrell); 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse and father of her children, Willard LaFleur; daughter, Linda LaFleur; siblings; Jules Gotreaux; Edward Gotreaux; Vernia Gotreaux Lenahan; Walter Gotreaux; George Gotreaux; Carey Rogers.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Monsignor Charles Dubois, Celebrant. Visitation begins Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m. and will resume Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.
